Redesign a famous or favourite album cover. All design elements must be original work.
The target audience is fans of the band and of the chosen genre.

- INTRODUCTION -

For my Digital Art subject in my final semester at RMIT University,
I chose The Strokes’ very first album, Is This It, to redesign.

I drew on Indie/Alt Rock genre specific conventions to situate the album in its rightful genre - restricted colour palette, often surreal imagery, and customised typography. However, I gave it my own personal spin by using a brighter colour palette than usually seen on albums of this genre, as well as my own photography, and customised, hand-drawn typography.
